Job Description

Business Development Manager – Residential Design/Build

Twin Cities, MN | Direct Hire | $80,000 Base + Commission (OTE $150,000–$200,000+)

Konik is partnering with Sicora Design/Build, a growing luxury residential remodeling company in the Twin Cities, seeking a Business Development Manager to help drive continued growth and expand client relationships. This role will own the front end of the sales process, guiding high-end remodeling opportunities from initial consultation through signed design agreements and construction contracts.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in residential remodeling, design/build construction, architecture, cabinetry, or custom home projects who enjoys building relationships, presenting solutions, and helping clients transform unique homes. The ideal candidate will appreciate older, architecturally significant homes and have the ability to connect with homeowners through a consultative sales approach.

Sicora specializes in high-end renovations throughout the Twin Cities. Projects range from kitchen remodels to full-home renovations. This position is being created due to growth and will help transition business development responsibilities from company ownership while supporting the company’s goal of doubling in size over the next five years.

Responsibilities

  • Own the front-end sales process from initial inquiry through signed design agreements and construction contracts.
  • Meet with homeowners to understand project goals, scope, budget, timeline, and overall fit.
  • Conduct client consultations and site visits to identify opportunities and develop trusted relationships.
  • Prepare preliminary budgets, proposals, and project recommendations.
  • Present estimates and guide clients through the decision-making process.
  • Follow up with prospective clients, manage opportunities, and maintain an organized sales pipeline.
  • Partner with the design team to ensure a smooth transition from sales into project development.
  • Build relationships with architects, designers, builders, real estate professionals, and other industry partners.
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, outreach, and community involvement.
  • Represent Sicora Design/Build with professionalism, integrity, and a client-focused approach.
  • Support business development opportunities for Sicora’s custom cabinet division, Rift Sawn.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in residential remodeling, construction, design/build, cabinetry, architecture, or a related industry.
  • 5+ years of sales, business development, or client-facing experience with a demonstrated history of building relationships and closing opportunities.
  • Experience estimating residential construction projects and communicating budgets, scope, and pricing.
  • Strong understanding of remodeling, renovation, and construction processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple opportunities, follow-ups, and priorities.
  • Professional, coachable, and aligned with a high-integrity, client-focused culture.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling higher-value residential remodeling or custom construction projects.
  • Background in design/build construction.
  • Experience with luxury residential renovations or older/historic homes.
  • Existing network within the Twin Cities remodeling, architecture, design, or construction community.
  • Interior design background or strong design appreciation.
  • Experience using CRM, estimating, or project management software such as Buildertrend or HubSpot.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: approximately $80,000
  • Commission incentives with expected first-year earnings of $150,000–$200,000+
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Paid time off
  • IRA retirement plan
  • Life and disability insurance
